Enrol now for 2026

1. Book a Tour
The best way to discover how your child will embrace life at Highlands is to see it in person! Our personal tours provide an opportunity for you and your child to explore the College and grounds. You will be able to see our facilities, experience what life feels like on Campus, meet the teaching staff, and ask questions about the enrolment process.

2. Submit an Application
There are several items you will need to complete the Application:
– digital copy of your child’s birth certificate / passport / visa / citizenship certificate
– digital copy of reports: school reports / specialist reports / medical reports and/or court orders, parenting plans.

3. Attend an Interview
Once an Application is processed and finalised, you will be invited to attend an interview. If your child is offered a place at Highlands after the interview, it will be sent via email. To accept, we ask that you pay the Confirmation Fee of $500 per family (refundable) within 10 days to secure your placement.
Frequently Asked Enrolment Questions
Is there a waitlist?
Highlands is an intentionally smaller school. When at capacity a class will have no more than 25 students, in both Primary and Secondary. We have two classes per year level in Primary and can extend to three in Secondary.
We are currently at capacity in the following year levels:
- Prep 2026
- Year 5 2026
- Year 6 2026
Applications for these year levels will be placed in a waiting pool.

How early should I apply?
We encourage you to apply as soon as you have decided to consider Highlands for your family. Places in Prep, Upper Primary, and Early Secondary reach capacity quickly, so early applications ensure your child can be considered for available opportunities.
Applying early also allows plenty of time for your family to visit our College, meet our staff, and get to know our community as part of the enrolment process.
What age can my child start Prep?
In Queensland, a child is eligible to begin Prep if they will turn 5 years old by June 30 in the year they enrol.
Can I submit an enrolment application at any time during the year?
Yes, mid-year enrolments are considered when spaces are available. The process is the same as standard enrolment and includes an interview.
Do you have a catchment or priority enrolment area?
No. We also offer private bus runs to cater exclusively for Highlands students who need to travel to school.
Can I apply to enrol my child at the new Highfields Campus?
Yes. Highlands Highfields will commence Prep to Year 3 classes in 2028, with additional year levels to be added in subsequent years as the Campus grows.
When completing your Enrolment Application, simply select ‘Highfields’ as your chosen Campus.
